Hi Mathew - Casual, dressy are great options. We will see you soon!
Not sure. I would give them a call.
Make reservations on OpenTable.
I would suggest you have a look at.the.menu
No. You don't have to. Sometimes you have stand in line to get upstairs.
Well the event I went to was a private party so dress code was really up to us. Now I'm sure they do have a dress code for evenings but don't quote me on that
I don't know , but if you can get in its worth it , because up stairs not that big, but the view and atmosphere should be fantastic new years. Be safe.
You don't need a reservation but it gets crowded fast you may have to wait in line
Views and great food and drinks. The kale salad is very good, and the drinks are all really nice and not too sweet.
MoreTrendy high end bar with good views of the city. Easy to find. We took Uber so not sure about parking. It has both inside and outside seating, a fireplace inside and fire pits and heaters outside. We only had drinks so I can't comment on the food. The drinks were good but its easy to spend 100.00 with 2 people if you stay for awhile. We were about 30.00 a round with tips. I will be going back.
Moregreat rooftop bar. we went with a few friends some months ago. Cocktails were great.
MoreSeating is little confusing & not great for conversations (loud music & seats far apart). But food is excellent & cocktails are delicious!
MoreBeautiful lounge at the top of Hotel Proper. A side entrance and an elevator takes you to the top. Might be a wait for a table but the bar area is a great place to hangout. We got our table in 40 mins and had a lovely time sitting by the fire with some blankets, while enjoying the gorgeous view of the magnificent city. Would love to go back again.
MoreGreat rooftop bar/lounge with fire pits and a great selection of wine and cocktails. Beer fanatics can find a decent selection of craft beers and domestic imports as well. Place offers a 360 degree view of various San Francisco landmarks, many of which are unobstructed, and attentive staff who do a great job to make your feel welcomed. Good for small groups or that special night out. Can be cold during the Fall, would advise to bring a coat or dress in layers if you get cold easy.
MoreCool ambience with a nice view of the city. Located on the roof of the Proper Hotel. It’s a diverse, chill crowd. Food is delicious and their drinks are on par. There’s a DJ that plays hip hop. Good vibes and good times. Eclectic is the word that comes to mind. Definitely would recommend.
MoreThe views and the ambiance was great, but the menu for the food was limited . But the sliders and fried mushrooms were good. It was good stop before we saw the play Hamilton. Two blocks away from the orpheum theater. Parking limited but they do have valet. We took uber. I would suggest you rsvp for the restaurant.
MoreGreat atmosphere, drinks & views. Don't come here thinking you'll get a table to sit at in less than an hour or 2 if you didn't call ahead with a reservation. Not a full blown dinner menu, mainly small appetizers to balance out the drinks you consume, but still quality food.
MoreDecent cocktails on the menu, but good bar tenders making some creations with the right guidance. Comfy outside sitting, with nice view of the city around firepits. Now that it isn't new anymore, it can get crowded on week ends...
MoreAlways a wait to get in (if not because the place is at capacity, then at least to wait as they deliver 6 people at a time via elevator to the roof). Then once you make it up, you’re waitlisted until any type of seat opens up (or $75 min spend per person for a reservation). I went on a Tuesday around sunset and the crowd was a bit stuffy for my taste (lots of suits, felt underdressed) and noticed I was getting some looks from other patrons. Drinks are pretty overpriced in my opinion. Beautiful view but not really my vibe.
MoreA friend found this place and brought me. They checked my bags at the door and went up to the roof on a very small elevator. Once there the hostess told me a two hour wait, but then after talking a min she found us a table in 15 mins! The drinks were great the view is amazing. Well worth the wait, if we had, had too. The food are very small servings so don't come for dinner.
MoreLet me start with the good stuff first, the cocktail we had was amazing, seriously I could of happily sat there and sipped away on those. - now I say sat - but could not actually be seated because you have to wait for 2 hours for seating, okay I get that but I don’t get how there were tables free that were not being used till much later in the day, also people sneakily jump up from the bar and stole those seats. So clearly seat hopping is okay. Again back to the cocktail it was nice. It’s a nice view up there, but nothing spectacular, the vibe is a little pretentious, not needed it could be so much nicer if it was more chilled. And a better way to organise your seating arrangement will definitely help.
MoreCame here before a show at the orpheum. Drinks were a bit on the pricy side but it was a nice atmosphere and the bartender was great to talk with.
MoreCute place! However you need to sign up on a waitlist once you get inside to get a table outside or inside. The fire pit tables are super hard to get. Also its so so so cold up there if you dont have a fire pit. The food is very very pricey for the portions you get (appetizers). 3 little pieces of chicken for $13, are you kidding me? However the view is nice and it's a great place to meet friends. Their non alcoholic drinks are great.
MoreThe best rooftop bar in SF! It has an amazing and incredible view of the city, they have indoors and outdoors tables with fire to keep you warm, it’s so charming and cozy!Amazing playlist (the DJ knows what he’s doing), great service, many options to drink. It’s kind of expensive but totally worth it. My tip: try to go early to watch the sunset, and if you’re planning to go on the weekend, beware because there might be a long waiting list.
MoreReally interesting, expensive drinks in the tenderloin. Friendly hostess . You take elevator up I went on a Thursday so no wait for us. It's a beautiful setting lovely for date night! Friendly service.
MoreThe best rooftop bar in the city! The cocktails are fabulous and the food is pretty amazing too. We went on a Tuesday afternoon around 4 pm and it was pretty packed but not noisy or crazy. I'd love to check out the vibe on a weekend.
MoreEverything about this place is awesome. They have pool, ping pong, darts, board games, live music on weekends, great drinks. The ambiance and crowd are great and lively. It's got a speakeasy vibe to it, which I also enjoy.
MoreOutstanding bar, fantastic service and drinks. Roman is easily one of the best bartenders in SF so ask for him when you go
MoreAmazing vibe. If you're making reservations it can be a bit pricey at $100 minimum a head, but I feel like most people spend at least that much on a really fun night out with friends anyways. So it's all about how you budget it.Otherwise, fantastic food and cocktails and a simply amazing view. The staff are all super great as well and deserve a shout-out.
MoreThis is just an incredible rooftop bar, and probably the best rooftop bar in San Francisco.Prices of the drinks are just a bit more expensive than other bars, but here I feel like the prices are worth it.It is an awesome classy bar, with great music and an even more amazing interior.Outside you can find fire pits at each table, creating a very cosy atmosphere.Must visit place!
MoreService was a little disappointing. Drinks were good, food was ok. It was a nice rooftop bar.
MoreTasty bites, inviting atmosphere, good selection spirits and friendly waitstaff. Service minimums are a bit steep especially auto additions of gratuity, living wage tax and usual sales tax.
MoreIf you accidentally enter through the hotel and ask for this place, just say 'yes' when they ask if you're a hotel guest so you can take the secret entrance. It was packed on Friday night, but still managed to find outdoor seating. Great city views, will definitely take friends here, but with reservations next time.
MoreA small open bar area with some shaded areas that stands on top of a building. A newcomer would probably notice that they don't readily sense the sights and sounds of the Tenderloin from that far up. It is a popular area so it gets crowded just after normal work hours so reserve a space if you have a large group visiting. The selection of drinks and finger food is great when paired together. The furniture is low to suit the relaxed atmosphere. If you aren't a low seat person, then you might want to try the bar stools.
MoreNice view and drinks. Can get crowded and there is wait. Ready to spend some dough for fancy drinks
MoreReally beautiful rooftop bar in the hear of SF. The expensive prices are worth it. The staff is friendly. We had to wait at the standing section, but we got a table in about 30 minutes.Drinks were fantastic in taste and quality. I would absolutely recommend Charmaine's to anyone traveling to SF. Also the bathroom was super clean.
MoreSuper cute lounge on with cozy places to sit. The skyline view isn’t as great as I thought it would be but I’d still come back. Great outdoor roof bar!
MoreI spend just a little more than a hour, so I can't say much. There was no problem that required us to leave. It was only a meeting point to go to another place. The environment and decorations are very beautiful! Outside areas with fire places to keep you warm and some cozy couches to lay down.According to my friends, service is ok, but price is expensive. You can get some great views and see the sunset from the rooftop, which is very cool!
MoreBeautiful city view. Nice cocktails. Buzzy, bustling and cosmopolitan atmosphereNot so sure about the service though, once they welcome you (which may take a little while, even when you are a hotel guest) things start to get momentum. Had a good time.
MoreThe cocktails, wine, food, and views are all top notch. The romantic ambience would make for a good date. But even going with friends would be fun, given the cool decor and artsy vibe.
MoreNice spot. Reservation required to achieve importance and be allowed to sit. Wait was only 30 mins at 6pm on Thursday. I'd come back
MoreThis place was such a treat to find! Did not expect such a pleasant bar on top of this hotel.Right off, the feel is vibrant and welcoming. The entrance is located behind the main entrance to the hotel. After passing the doorman, it's just a straight ride up.Looks like the place starts to fill up before 7 over the weekend, but the place was spacious enough where it doesn't feel stuffy. There's outside seating with heaters, but it looks like people normally reserve them ahead of time. You can still ask the hostess if there's any no-shows or early leavers, but don't count on it.One thing I like is that they have absinthe and champagne here, asked for a death in the afternoon and it did not disappoint. The view from the rooftop is kind of flat. There's some views, but more than likely you'll just see something like a stiff company dinner on the other rooftops. Also, it's SF, you're probably going to hear people screaming or telling randomly on the ground floor.
MoreA great spot for some drinks and snacks on a sunny afternoon. We sat outside and turned on the fire pit once it started to get a bit cold. The tempura mushrooms were very tasty.
MoreI sat at the bar. The bartenders were super chill. The empanadas were delicious as was the hot chocolate. Also, views are spectacular
MoreDelightful staff. Relaxed atmosphere. Excellent cocktail menu. Food is good. Outdoor area is fantastic if the weather is good. Highly recommended....just get here early to secure a spot.
MoreLovely bar in the heart of Market. Pretty large and spacious compared to most places in SF. The mixed drinks are quite unique as well so you’ll have to check them out to see what suits.
MoreThis place is great. Even though it’s on a rough patch of Market St, the rooftop is an oasis from the busy city life. It can get busy, but the food and drinks make it worthwhile. The view is great too
MoreHighly recommend. Great atmosphere, fantastic drinks.
Cool rooftop view, but the vibe of this place is ‘upscale trying too hard’ and there is no authenticity to the atmosphere. I’m not a personal fan, but it definitely has a target audience.
MoreHas a very good ambient lighting. The atmosphere is upscale. The appetizers we had were pretty good. They have vegan options too. Service was not very fast but not very slow as well. They have good cocktails
MoreIt is one of the most beautiful bars to watch the sunset. The cocktails are not bad. However, it does get very cold up there so dress warm and book a table in advance if you would like to skip the wait.
MoreSuper cute, amazing views, good food, bartenders were awesome. Even on a warm day does get windy so don’t forget to take a jacket
MoreJust super cool. Great views of the city, warm fire pits, and friendly bar staff. It is exciting to find the door and be escorted to an elevator that delivers patrons to the roof for a merry time.
MoreView was nice, service was very slow and drinks were good but not great for $17. Crowd was chill in the first few hours then got somewhat dressy & gaudy a few hours later. You're definitely paying for the atmosphere, rather than the quality. But still worth a visit!
MoreCool decor and good cocktails but the view isn't that rateable! It's not quite high enough so wouldn't go if you're expecting a banging view but more of an alfresco drinking vibe away from the street. Hotel underneath is fabulous though.
MoreGood vibes with an incredible view of the city. Even got to witness a meteor shower throughout the night. Loved that they provide warm and fuzzy blankets if your sitting outside. Will definitely be coming back.
MoreOne of my favorite places in San Francisco! The view from this rooftop is fantastic, especially at night with dim lights, braziers lit and the city lit up! Great drinks, fast and friendly service. To enter such a place it is normal for there to be a line of people waiting outside. I recommend anyone in this area to enter this beautiful lounge bar
